Kenya Power, on Thursday, called off their press conference meant to announce their full year results at their Stima Plaza headquarters after restless journalists were kept waiting for over 3 years.

The press conference was called off way after 5pm even after claims that the electricity distributor had equally experienced a blackout – a development which we could not independently confirm.

An informed source, however, said that the delay and eventual cancellation resulted from a missing nod from the Auditor General.

Other sources indicate not even the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) had okayed the earnings to be announced in what is increasingly turning out to be scandalous and embarrassing development

Kenya Power still released the audited results to June 30, 2023 which revealed a Sh3.19bn net loss
