As part of ongoing initiatives by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to tame traffic corruption, EACC arrested 4 police officers extorting money from motorists on Thika-Garissa Highway om Tuesday.

The 4 are Deborah Ngila (Deputy Base Commander), Rosemary Nyokabi Robert Kabiru and Christine Chebon.

Calling for automation of traffic law enforcement as a reform measure, CEO Twalib Mbarak noted that corruption on Kenyan roads, which has now changed from bribery to extortion, is denting the image of the country and should stop.
