On 01/02/2017 Kitale - Eldoret road my motor vehicle registration no. KTWB 008A was involved in a road accident and got extensively damaged.

Lucky to myself I had insured it comprehensively through Cooperative Bank by Xplico insurance company.

I informed both Cooperative Bank as the agents who sold the policy to me and Xplico as the insurance company. 

I am writing to you, because I have been following for my claim since and Cooperative Bank as my agent is very much aware and they are helping me not. 

My compensation was authorised and I was given a PD cheque maturity date 28/4/2017 which bounced. 

I have informed my agent (Cooperative Bank) and Insurance regulatory commission unfortunately neither is helping me. 

Today am humbly requesting the Secretary General of Cofek Mr Stephen Mutoro to intervene and give myself and many other Kenyans who are in my similar helpless situation reason to smile whenever they hear Consumer Federation of Kenya. Since the regulator is not helping us.

Kindly intervene and help so many innocent Kenyans out here who are real suffering in the hands of xplico insurance company.  Attached is one of the many letters have written to Insurance regulatory commission to seek help and the bounced cheque. (EDWIN AMINGA)
