We would like to lodge a complaint regarding the adulterated diesel product at your Total service station (Awali I investments) Muranga where we fueled on our way back from the funeral.

We write to convey our extreme displeasure since the diesel product caused our vehicle a Land Rover Discovery KBZ 79** to stall on our way back to Nairobi.

Our mechanic diagnosed and found the adulterated fuel as the cause. A second opinion confirmed the same. It spoilt the belt tensioner (as the result of the abrupt stalling in high gear), two fuel injector nozzles, fuel filter, high pressure fuel bump which necessitated recording of the computer system and cleaning the tank with superior quality fuel from shell.

The fail safe mechanism cut transmission to avert many other components from getting spoilt.

It is our plea that Total headquarters, the Energy Regulatory Authority, Kenya Bureau of standards and Consumer Federation of Kenya investigate the station concerned and help us recover our repair bill.
